(5:13) For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. (5:14) for all the law is fulfilled on one word even in this; Thou shalt love the neighbor as thyself. (5:15) But if you bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another. (5:16) This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Verse 20 goes on to describe what walking in the flesh produces. Strife is just one that is mentioned. Most people think it is NO BIG DEAL, just a harmless human emotion, but they are greatly mistaken.

As innocent as a little fight or disagreement may seem, strife is actually the devil's poison. It was designed to kill, steal, and destroy. It will rob you of your faith, friendships, marriage, and open the door for his evil works in your life.

James 3:16- For WHERE envy and strife are, there is confusion and every evil work. Notice the Word of God says WHERE it is at the place it is. Know that if you are in strife, then WHERE you are is confusion and every evil work! No wonder there is so much confusion in the world.

We must learn to repent at once and make a quality decision to WALK IN LOVE. This is WALKING IN THE SPIRIT, and WALKING far away from WHERE envy and strife are. Take the first step. II Corinthians 3:17 says "WHERE the Spirit of The Lord is, there is LIBERTY." Learn to WALK BY FAITH in God's WORD - bring the LIBERTY of the LORD in, and those evil works will have to find a new residence.
